Welcome to the Gastro 2018 Conference

After a successful meeting in 2011, the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology and New Zealand Gastroenterology Nurses College will return to Dunedin for the Annual Scientific Meeting.  Dunedin is home to New Zealand's oldest Medical School at the University of Otago.  Many registrants will have fond (and not so fond – or simply no) memories of their scarfie days.

We believe that we have put together a great program and we are honored to welcome an outstanding faculty. Besides experts from within New Zealand, we have secured a great line up of international speakers to tackle all the current issues in gastroenterology.

Our Committee reflects the teamwork that is gastroenterology and consists of enthusiastic gastroenterologists, surgeons and nurses to make sure all aspects of gastroenterology are covered.  Highlights of the social programme include the Great Guts Fun Run/Walk, unbelievably in its 7th year after the inductory event in Dunedin in 2011 and the showpiece conference dinner themed 'Professors and Scarfies', fitting the location.

Come to Dunedin and join us for a fantastic programme but also make sure you soak up the local atmosphere and hospitality.  We know for some of you it will be a trip down memory lane.

See you all in November.
