In this issue, a study from Japan reports that leucine-rich alpha 2 glycoprotein is superior to C-reactive protein in the prediction of mucosal healing in Crohn’s disease patients with ileal disease, but comparable to C-reactive protein in Crohn’s disease patients with colonic disease.
